Oedipus Solves the Riddle
- Right Solution, Herr/Monsieur/Mister Oedipus!
Said the Sphinx. The riddle, as we all know was "Which creature has one voice and yet becomes four-footed and two-footed and three-footed?"
„Man” – was the answer of Oedipus.
Correct, all too correct.
Which creature has one voice yet became four-footed and two-footed and three-footed the last 100 years? The power system of Europe, what else – first a Europe of England, France, Germany and Russia, then the cold-war Europe of the NATO and of the Warsaw Pact, while now the Troika, i.e. the EU, the IMF and the ECB.
So the riddle of Greece is solved – and now, as we all know, Herr/Monsieur/Mister Oedipus is going to proceed unknowingly to kill and morally corrupt his parents and himself.
His parents are also Greek, of course: Autonomy and Democracy.
