Appeal for the Refugees in Hungary

SAY NO TO THE ’STANFORD PRISON EXPERIMENT’ TO BE REPEATED LIVE IN RÖSZKE, HUNGARY!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT GOOD PEOPLE IN AN EVIL PLACE?
„Our planned two-week investigation into the psychology of prison life had to be ended after only six days because of what the situation was doing to the college students who participated. In only a few days, our guards became sadistic and our prisoners became depressed and showed signs of extreme stress.”
Prof Philip G. Zimbardo
The government of Hungary decided to build small cage-like enclosures on the Hungarian-Serbian boarder to detain refugees arriving via Serbia from Syria and other Middle-East countries.
They call these planned enclosures ’camps’ in the media, although it is highly uncertain, whether sufficient shelter, hygiene and health facilities will be provided for the tens of thousands of refugees.
One can surely predict, that this project is a cynical open-air repetition of the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment to prove to the Hungarian and European public that the refugees do not deserve to be accepted into the EU – and especially not into Hungary.
In the memory of those gathered in enclosures, ghettos and ’camps’ earlier in Hungary I ask for a fair and human treatment of the refugees of 2015.
